Feasibility study for First Garden City Heritage Museum, Letchworth picture
Client: Letchwoth Garden City Heritage Foundation
Date: 2006
Letchworth was the first Garden City in the world and is now a thriving, attractive town. The existing museum was too small to tell the story of town planning in the garden City and its influence elsewhere. We undertook a detailed concept analysis looking at the balance between specialist museum and community museum and the important educational function – for residents and international academics – in a new museum development in the centre of the town.
